Qing Ping, whose full name is Wang Qing Ping, was born in March 1962, in Suzhou, China, and graduated from Peking University in July 1987. He began writing poetry in the 1980s, and received the Liu Lian Award for Poetry in 1996. His first collection, A Type of People, was published in 2007, and his second collection, Between the Words, was published in 2013. He also edited the anthology of Chinese contemporary poems, Push Open the Window (Copper Canyon Press, 2011).

清平，本名王清平，1962年3月生于苏州。1987年毕业于北京大学。1980年代开始诗歌创作。1996年获刘丽安诗歌奖。2007年出版第一本诗集《一类人》，2013年出版第二本诗集《我写我不写》。2011年中文主编由美国铜峡谷出版社出版的中国当代诗歌选集《推开窗》（Push Open the Window）。
